With Bodmin's location right in the heart of mid Cornwall, it makes the ideal base to explore both the north & south Cornish coasts, in fact it's a pretty good base to explore the entire county of wonderful Cornwall. Bodmin used to be the main county town (ie: capital) before the courts moved across to Truro. There are a number of supermarkets, atm's & banks as well as easy to reach public car parks available in the town (see interactive map).
